Microbrasserie Houblon-Pêcheur opened in January 2019 by owners Jeff and Caroline Janiszewski. The name Microbrasserie Houblon-Pêcheur was inspired by our love of fishing and hop forward beer. The natural beauty of the Acadian Peninsula offers plenty of inspiration for our beers!

Our Beers

We focus on creating delicious beers of exceptional quality. The use of local ingredients such as malt and organic fruits allow us to create very unique products. Forming partnerships with other local businesses is very important to us. It helps us in the development of new collaborative brews.

Jos Frédric Session Pale
Brunswick DIPA

A Hazy Double IPA with a soft bitterness and smooth body with notes of tropical fruits and pine. We recommend to pair with red meat and hamburgers.
Balbuzard Pêcheur IPA

A Hazy East Coast IPA that is very refreshing with a balanced bitterness and notes of tropical and citrus fruits. We recommend pairing with fresh lobster and other seafood.
Loup de mer Dry Stout

A classic dry stout with hints of coffee and dark chocolate. We recommend to pair with old cheese or with a molten dark chocolate cake. This beer is also excellent for cooking, try it in a spicy chili or in a comforting stew.
Nigogue Pale Ale

A light bodied hoppy American Pale Ale with low bitterness and subtle notes of blueberry and citrus. Try it with fried food or smelts.
Méduse Dry Hopped Sour

A very refreshing sour that combines a sour base with lots of hop aromatics with notes of citrus and stonefruit. Perfect on the beach on a hot summer day or to drink at the camp fire with roasted marshmallows.
Anse-Bleue Ale

A very refreshing light bodied blonde ale. Super easy to drink and accessible! So delicious with fish and chips.
Pèlerin IPA

A delicious American IPA with just enough bitterness. It has notes of grapefruit and pine. It goes really well with red meat and hamburgers.
Méduse aux bleuets

Collaboration Beer: Our sour beer with loads of local wild blueberries from Ferme PMG Légère in Caraquet.
Nigoge Cielo

A collaboration with Cielo Glamping Maritime which showcases our Nigogue Pale Ale with the addition of local grapes from Lamèque. A perfect mix of beer and grape flavours.
